Transfer

Would it be possible to transfer after first year aerospace engineering to another university for second year? and would i apply through ucas?

Hi!

This is definitely possible but it doesn’t depend on a few things:

How compatible the course your looking at is compared to your current course as if it’s similar they can transition you into second year but they may say do first year again.

It also depends on the university policy of your own uni as each uni will have certain rules on transferring so ring your uni or have an in person meeting explaining that you want to transfer.

In terms of applicant I would directly ring the uni instead of going through ucas as that’s what other people tend to do so ring the uni and ask them!

At the same Uni - usually automatic.
At a different Uni - ask the next Uni if they will accept that Foundation course, then apply through UCAS.

most uni's say they consider foundation years on a case by case basis and to apply through ucas
