Do particular A-Levels matter?

I want to do either French or Law at a good university - obviously I am doing French A-level. I am also doing English Literature. I was wondering if my third A-Level choice matters; as in if I do Art (which might be seen as less academic) would it hinder my chances of getting into Russell Group Unis?

Double check the courses you want to do at uni to see if there are any specific subjects they require.
I know with law, there arent any specific subjects required (although essay subjects may help).
Id double check with French though.

Depends on which uni you're talking about. Some unis e.g. LSE don't like it but most don't care.

Do Law A Level

Law does not require any specific A levels - you could be taking 3 STEM A levels - all they are interested in is 3 good grades. Many people find an essay-based subject useful for skills and LNAT, but it is not essential. Art as a 3rd subject would not be an issue, but just be aware that its notoriously time-consuming.

You could take Law as a single subject degree (possibly with Study Abroad), or you could take Law and French as a joint subject degree :
Law (European and International) LLB | Undergraduate study | The University of Sheffield
LLB Law and French | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol
Law with French Law LLB | Prospective Students Undergraduate - UCL University College London
