Sonography after therapeutic radiography

Hi, I’ve received an offer to study Therapeutic Radiography, but I’m interested in pursuing Sonography at the postgraduate level. Would studying Therapeutic Radiography still allow me to do a postgraduate Sonography , or do i have to do Diagnostic Radiography?

Taking a degree in therapeutic radiography first is fine. It will enable you to get your HCPC registration, gain work experience and then pursue a trainee sonographer position.

From some who has come from that field you are still eligible to apply for a trainee sonographer after graduation. You just need to get as much work shadowing, CPD learning and networking as possible during your time as a student. The more you do as a student, the greater your chance of getting an interview and a position in ultrasound. Good luck 😉
