Edinburgh Accommodation

Hi, I’m going to be applying for undergrad accommodation for the uni of Edinburgh - I dont know if I should apply for catered or non-catered. Can anyone let me know their experience with either?

i hear the catered accommodation have a kind of a snob culture if that influences you in any way. though i feel catered accoms are very social (not to say that self catered aren’t)

hello! i'm on a gap year so haven't started at edinburgh yet, but when i was deciding on my accom preferences a friend of mine who's already at edinburgh steered me WELL AWAY from catered because the only catered accom is pollock where the food is apparently awful and the people are really snobby. that's just what i've heard though! i got into sciennes which was one of my 5 preferences and i'm really excited to go :smile:
