yr 10 study buddy

Hey guys!
I’m looking for someone in year 10 who could be like a study buddy or something just to motivate me to study lol!
Here are my subjects and predicted grades! If anyone wants to partner and maybe exchange numbers or socials so we can like ask questions to each other that would be great and I would love it! We don’t have to completely match subjects and grades but it would be great just to have someone to talk to about the main subjects!

AQA MATHEMATICS - 9
edexcel SEPARATE BIOLOGY - 8

Hey guys - I have done most these subjects for GCSE, im in yr13 doing my a-levels now in english lit, history and RS I didn't know if any of you want to ask me certain questions as it may be more helpful hearing from someone who has already done it before. Obvs ill be best at helping with subjects close to my current a-levels, but ill give anything a go 🙂

Also if you just have any questions on the GCSE process like what happens etc

For GCSE i did
Eduquas RS
AQA English lit (AIC, Macbeth, Power and Conflict, Jekyll and Hyde)
AQA English lang
AQA Combined science
AQA computer science
Edexcel history (medicine through time, Cold War, Weimar and Nazi Germany and Anglo-Saxons)

do you have any advice for English lit. I find writing the essays really hard and just like thinking of what to say. tyy

It depends on the question but for me I would always pick the theme instead of the character - this way theres a lot more to talk about and you can apply the theme to all the characters e.g. selfishness in AIC you have all the characters to talk about and a lot more moments

For me I watched Mr Bruff on yt I found him very helpful he really added a lot of depth and meaning

Whenever you can just think if there are any multiple meanings to explore different aspects of a quote

I know its hard but when you find a quote think about different layers of meaning - colours always have a lot

E.g. Red - one layer it shows sexuality and promiscuity but it also shows danger - then you can analyse the relationship between the two and how sexuality may be dangerous etc - just always thinking and analysing whatever youre writing or find what does that truly mean for the question

I know this is A-level but this is an example of what I mean analysis wise (dont worry about the complex terminology) -

But, particularly in the declarative, "the clocks slid back an hour and stole light from my life" is significant and shows complex layers around the speaker's feeling of regret. In some ways, the clock being the primary subject in the sentence with the personification shows an air of inevitability, as though the speaker does not feel any responsibility for whatever happened, it is out of their hands. Perhaps, this shows the speaker's feelings before the relationship ended, that things may be too late to change, and they are now regretting this attitude.

thank you!! I often find it quite hard to think of the right words - e.g. how is ambition presented in Macbeth and I know the quotes and how to analyse them but I never know how to start the paragraphs (ambition is presented as... and I can't think of a word that fit with my quotes and analysis)

Yeah - you dont have to find just one word - I never do - normally what you want to say is so complex that I would create an opening statement like - Shakespeare presents ambition in Macbeth as his one tragic flaw - his obsession with wanting more ironically constrains him to his own downfall.

But i mean take your time - the more you panic the worse itll be
