A-Level Choice for Film Production

Basically at the moment I have picked: Physics, Maths, English Lit
I only really picked English Lit as per teacher recommendation and I dont enjoy it that much but not too sure how I would at A-Levels
I was thinking if I changed subject as my school allow a 4 week trial period to Psychology.
Would that still fit into my film aspirations and allow me to go into film production
So Physics, Maths, English Lit then if I dislike English Lit after 4 weeks. It would be Physics, Maths, Psychology
Many thanks
I assume that your college/sixth form don’t offer film/media A level or any practical media production qualifications. That would be most helpful as any good film production degree from a CILECT school is going to expect to see a showreel/portfolio of your work. You’ll need to produce this all in your free time.

That means that your best options are to choose the A levels you find easiest and think you’ll be able to get BBB or higher in while keeping as much free time as possible to work on your showreel.

Well I am doing an EPQ of Film production and more stuff film wise outside of school to add to my portfolio. So it wouldnt matter too much about what a level I end up doing

Well it could do because if you don't make it in film production/want to change careers your A level choices obviously matter because not doing a specific a level will obviously close doors for you

Well what I was thinking of doing for my EPQ was a short film, a script, the written report + directors notes and then possibly a film analysis. Plus if I do end up disliking film production I would much rather do something to do with Psychology than English

Alright, just to let you know if you want to go into something like film writing you would likely need an essay based subject (haven't done much research but assuming u would) if you wanted a degree in it, and you don't have any

I mean Psychology can be counted as an essay based subject as it mainly includes essay writing

No-one who 'goes into' film script writing needs any specific A level subject - or even a degree.
