Can anyone recommend an ap that is compatible with a Chromebook that I can use to answer my maths questions on that will be accepted by examination board for GCSE

Try using pocketmath. I have that app on my phone [I think u can use that on chromebook as well] , which I use to clear my doubts. I am also a GCSE student, they'll explain the way you get the answer.
