Student Finance Help??

Hello,
Around a month ago I applied for student finance and I received an email saying my application was approved, so I didn’t think too much of it. Maybe around last week, I was booking accommodation so went to check it again just in case and it’s told me that I need to put my NI number in, even though I’ve already done it when signing up, and now it wants me to upload evidence because my NI number is already in use? and I’m also not getting an option to upload any documents to prove it either?

I spoke to someone on the virtual chat after having no luck with their telephone help line, and they told me that I don’t need to worry about it and that I should just wait. But I feel sceptical about this and feel like I need to confirm if this is the right call as I do not have £9k just lying around for tuition fees, let alone maintenance loans for september and am very aware the deadline has passed!!

If anyone has been in a similar situation, I’d really appreciate the advice on what to do next, thank you!
