Durham college

a couple months ago I firmed uni of bath and declined my offer to durham so I never completed the college allocation form. I really regretted my decision and changed my firm to durham but this was after college allocations. I called and asked how my allocation would be done and it said randomly since I had my offer for a while before the deadline. Do you think I could call them and try give some sort of preference and when do you think I would hear about my allocation?

All preliminary college allocations are already out, so you will have to wait for the chaos of results day I believe. This means your preferences won't be taken into account and it will be based on the number of spare spaces at each college after people miss their offers.

do you think I could call the college allocation line and see if they could give me an idea now? I have food allergies so I thought this could help me give a preference

I don’t think it matters when you apply for colleges. My daughter put down eight preferred options and didn’t get one.

I don't see any harm in calling. I wouldn't worry about your allergies, they cater menus towards many different food requirements.

It matters that you applied before the deadline, but it is not allocated on a a first come first serve basis regarding those who met the required date. Yes I've heard similar stories, my friend got her 11th ranking. I made sure to rank all 16, as they advise you to do, and would definitely suggest others to do the same!
