CAS Delay

Hi,

Just wanted to see if anyone’s going through the same thing. My CAS shield has been stuck at 61% for over a week now. I sent all my documents a while ago, and the uni said they’d ask if they needed anything, but I haven’t heard anything back, even after emailing them.

Is anyone else in the same situation? Or has anyone had this happen before and know how long it took to move forward?

Thanks!

Phone the Uni - both Admissions and the International team.

They said they have a lot of CAS to process and that my case was escalated. But at this point, I feel like they won’t get to it until early september, and by then, it might be too late for me to get my visa in time.

International students who don't get their results until July or August still manage to get a CAS, get their visas issued and arrive at Uni for the start of term - so you really do not need to worry.

Thanks for the info. I actually got my results a couple of months ago and sent them over already.

Exactly. Most unis issue CAS in late August or early September. The normal visa approval time is 3 weeks. While the wait could be frustrating and annoying, priority service may worth consideration if money allows (additional £500!), so that your application is red-flagged and not buried in the piles.

Take the time to fill in the visa application, get the financial proof updated and TB test cert ready if required for your country. Financial proof needs to be within 1 month of visa application and TB test cert is valid for 6 months.
