Hi there!

Its lovely to hear you've just firmed us!

I too did psychology here and was in a similar dilemma.

Here is where you can compare the prices of all our UG accommodation options.

I personally lived in Westwood Derhill, which I really liked but it was on the less pretty side of campus. I had a friend who lived in Solsbury court which is a bit more expensive but has a smaller flat group and an ensuite.

My personal number one recommendation would be Norwood House. This is an on-campus accommodation which I find is easier to manage in first year because it means you'll be in amongst it and close to everything. Its in the middle of campus on top of the SU - the rooms are lovely with plenty of room, you're right in the centre of everything going on, its our most budget-friendly on-campus option with your own room, and the lowest couple of floors even get free or discounted SU night tickets to make up for potential noise pollution.

The East side of campus is lovely, but the West side is less modern and pretty and so I would recommend trying going for somewhere away from the West side.

I would also say that ensuites are generally overrated, because they cost a lot more and generally when you share a house in future rooms will not be ensuite. I also preferred personally having self-catered accom with no credit because I enjoyed learning to cook and saving my money.

I hope this helps - any more questions please let us know!
