college reallocation - durham

hello everyone!

hope everyone is doing great this spring  i just had a question about Durham Uni college allocations. i have been super lucky enough to have been put in Castle for law, and i'm surprised but really grateful.

but i've seen loads of people saying that it's likely i'll be reallocated? can anyone speak to the chances of this if i meet my offer, which i should be able to do?? i'm really happy with my allocation and don't want it to chance but i do suppose it won't be the end of the world if it does.

thanks!!

hiya - the palatine actually did an article which shows the reallocations from last year so would suggest looking at that. its not super common to be reallocated but it defo happens and since castle is a more popular one it slightly higher chances. I would suggest just not thinking too much about it. Personally, I didnt put much thought into colleges and I think it worked out the best that way. its hard to be thinking of your life at one to them be moved into another! I would just think of it like any other uni accommodation and then when you arrive you can get stuck into the college/community aspect of it!

oh absolutely! i'm super pleased to have been put in Castle but totally understand that it's not gonna define my time at the university. i'm really grateful to be able to attend either way.

thank you so much for your answer, i'll check out that article now
