Exeter missed grades

Recently firmed Exeter for media and communications for 2025 September. I need ABB (they’ve lowered it to ABC/BBB). Does anyone know if Exeter is good if i miss the grade? Like what is the chance i will still get in if i get BBC?

if they already lowered the original offer, it is unlikely that they will accept anything lower than that. not sure though

It's a relatively new course which they are keen to grow, so there is a chance they may be more flexible. How did you get the offer lowered from ABB in the first place?

Hi Rosie.2222,

Thank you for your question, and for considering Exeter as your university of choice.

Doing your A Levels can be a stressful time, and so can thinking about your potential university offers. The good news is, there are always other options to join Exeter if you are worried about your grades.

First, is clearing. The campus visits will open on the 15th of August, which is the day after you receive your A Level results. You can find more information about key dates here. Don't worry if you miss the 15th of August, because there are still chances to apply through clearing in early September.

If you want to stay up to date with clearing news, you can sign up with this form.

While I can't give you an exact number about the likelihood of you getting in through clearing, we always do our best to accommodate prospective students. Remember, it's worth calling universities you are interested in to discuss how many places they have available, if there alternative courses you might be interested in with more space, and how they can support you through clearing.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any additional support.
