Hi @skeshri09

Is it a summer job you are looking for? Or long term?

Of course all the usual websites to keep an eye on:
https://uk.indeed.com

For a summer job many big chains like supermarkets, retail and pubs are often looking for temporary summer staff.
However, I would also suggest keeping updated on local businesses Facebook, website and other social media, as that is where they usually post job advertisements.

Last year I started by making a big list of all the potential local businesses to keep an eye out on their website and social media’s. It is also always worth emailing or going in with your CV as there is nothing to lose. Here is a general list of places I thought of that often get busy and need help in the summer months:
•Uniform shops
•Play centres
•Garden Centres
•Theme parks
•Water parks
•Wedding Venues
•Museums
•Cafes, pubs and restaurants that are near outdoor activities or walks.
•Campsites
•Festivals
•Outdoor activity centres
•Ice cream shops

If you are looking for something more long term then sometimes summer jobs will keep you on if you work well.

Are you a uni student? Because often working for the university is a great job.
Or if you are any sort of student your institution should have a careers centre or some sort of careers team that may be able to help.

I hope this helps and good luck

Are free for a 30 min chat about it tomorrow ? - (and yes this is legit lol, I'm helping out my cousin so thought I'd help anyone else looking at the moment while I do this research). lmk.

Hi @coachkcarrty

The list I made was for business in my local hometown area, so they are just small businesses that may get busy over summer like garden centres, ice cream shops etc like I outlined in my general list.

However a few chains on the list that you might find throughout the UK were:

Clarks

Sports Direct

Go Ape

Ninja Warrior

Sealife

Legoland/World

Weatherspoon's

M&S

Costa

Hobbycraft

For retail clothing places I had general places like:
River Island, New Look, H&M, Next, Primark, TK Maxx, JD, Hurley, Matalan, Peacocks.

I hope this helps
