Days and Nights Out in London - Share Your Recommendations

Hi all,

Congratulations to those of you who have finished your second term or year at university and good luck to those who hopefully don’t have too long left now!

I thought I would round up some of the things I have been getting up to in London in my second term, as it might be motivating to have some plans to look forward to once you have finished deadlines and exams or if you are coming to London this September for uni it may give you some ideas and inspo.

Feel free to share any places you have been this term that you would recommend as I would love some recommendations! Here’s an overview of some places I have been this term.

Museums/Exhibitions

The Design Museum Here I saw both the Barbie and Tim Burton exhibitions. Both where great and I will be back to see more exhibitions.

Tate Modern –I saw the Electric Dreams exhibition for just £5 with my Tate Collective membership which is free to sign up to.

Museum of Brands in Notting Hill I love visiting Notting Hill and this museum was great! I visited the ADWomen exhibit.

Southbank Centre/ The Hayward Gallery Just outside of Waterloo Station this is easy to get to Kingston. I visited the Linder Sterling and Mickalene Thomas exhibitions.

Fashion and Textiles Museum I saw the Fashion Outlaws exhibition. The area around the museum is really nice with lots of cafes and pubs.

Clubs/night life

Brixton Jamm We went to this club for a night out, there are lost of great clubs in Brixton.

Battersea Me and my friend went to a gig at a pub called The Magic Garden, which had a nice outdoor space with a photobooth!

Koko This was a club in Camden where we saw Kanine, it also had a rooftop section.

Jazz Café This is a club we went to on a night out in Camden.

Fabric Another club in central London that I like, in Farringdon.

Days out

Seven Sisters Not in London but beautiful cliffs you can walk along by the coast of England. We drove down which took around 2 hours each way but I believe you can get a train from Clapham which takes around 1 hour 30 minutes. We walked for about three hours and then went to a pub in Eastbourne.

Camden Market I personally think the food is one of the highlights of the market we had Chinese food, Korean corndogs and chocolate covered strawberries.

180 Strand I headed here to do a bit of people watching at London Fashion Week and I saw Naomi Campbell! I also visited the Reverb exhibition at 180 Studios while I was there.

Can't wait to hear yours!

Theatre Go to watch the stars of tomorrow in their final year performances at the likes of Rada, Lamda and Guildhall.

(The first time I did this I saw Joseph Quinn and Callum Woodhouse in Henry IV Part One at Lamda.)
