Uni of greenwich social work

Hi! I’m a bit confused regarding the entry requirements for social work (BA). I have a pearson btec level 4 diploma in adult care (england) and level 2 functional skills in maths and english. Is this enough to get me on the course in year 1 at the university of greenwich.

Hi there,

As an overseas student, I only had equivalent diplomas and grades to the entry requirement for UK universities. But from my understanding, your BTEC level 2 should be accepted to join the BA course.
As for the GCSE Maths and GCSE English require a grade 4/C or above, the equivalent would be a level 2 or above, which you have. However, it might have to explicitly say that it is a GCSE equivalent, but those kind of decisions will lie with the university.

In any case, I suggest you contact the social work department of the university of Greenwich, tell them exactly what diplomas and grades you have, and they will be able to let you know if they accept it and/or give you more information on what is required.

Best of luck!
