Degree Classification Leeway (Uni of Westminster)

Hi guys, I've preemptively calculated my classification and it seems that I'm at 69.79%. This is without the dissertation score yet but I'm wondering in cases like this if the university rounds up or has some grace regarding giving you a few percent to push you into a first?

See Part 5 Module Framework for Taught Courses, Section 17 Framework for Undergraduate Courses, within University of Westminster's Handbook of Academic Regulations. You'll find it here.

It has two things to say about rounding, the first at module level (which I've included to help you confirm that you've calculated things correctly so far), and the second at an overall level:

4.4.1 Module marks will not be rounded. The absolute module mark, to the maximum number of decimal places calculated and recorded by the student record system, will be used in the calculation of the award classification. For the purposes of transcripts and other records of student achievement, the published module mark will display the whole number and not decimal
places.

7.3.6 The indicator score shall be rounded to the nearest integer and mapped to the following table
to derive a classification:
Indicator Score Classification
70 100 1st Class Honours (1)
60 69 2nd Class Honours Upper Division (2:i)
50 59 2nd Class Honours Lower Division (2:ii)
40 49 3rd Class Honours (3)

(The emphasis above is mine.)

So an overall score of 69.79% would be rounded to 70% for a First.
