Anxiety Illness

I'll delete if this is the wrong forum but I've been throwing up a lot recently from exam stress, I'm trying to continue eating healthy but its exam season so I am somewhat prioritising fast, easy meals. I'm starting to experience tooth pain and I'm worried my teeth are being impacted by the vomiting. I've booked with my GP but waiting list is two months....any advice on how to curb stress vomiting or how to protect my teeth?

This might seem like a silly question but why are you so stressed about exams?

Your health is more important than any exam. You can have passed and done well in all the exams you have ever sat but if you don't have your health you can't benefit from all those passes.

What is the worst that can happen from doing these exams?

I know that my health matters more than exams but the logic cannot control the anxiety. Due to personal and financial reasons I can't resit my exams if I am unhappy with the score and my parents do not want me to go to a uni that isn't RG so if I don't make the grades I just can't go to university ever which is causing a lot of stress and pressure.

Do you need to go to university to get a job or could you do a different route that doesn't need you to take more exams? The thing is that if exams cause anxiety like this putting yourself through the stress of more exams at university might not be the best thing for your health?

All that a university degree is for is to get you your first job. After that what gets you your second job is the experience from your first job your third job is from the experience of your first job and your second. Over time the degree becomes worth less and less. So if you can get a job without the stress of exams by not going to university that might actually be better for your health.

Also there is always the Open University for a degree while you are working in a subject that helps the job that you are doing at that time. There are lots of good reasons for not going to university straight after leaving school.

Thank you so much. You've completely opened my eyes with the Open University. I feel so much more confident just knowing there's a plan B.
Thank you

Another route could be an apprentiship, where you learn and earn a salary, so your basically learning for free

I want to go into biomedical sciences preferably, do you know of any apprenticeships in that field? I've looked but struggled to find any in my area (I can't afford to move out without a loan).

im sorry i know from experiences that there arent many apprenteships in biomed, bc my sister who is a year older has been trying to look for some but has really struggled. i have found one for her though, so I'll link that in. I'm really hoping you can find one though, and that you're feeling better x
