Questions about Trevs College Durham?
I've been allocated Trevs and am hearing so many mixed things about it, a lot of people have told me its a really friendly colleges, but someones just told me it hasn't got the like community of other ones (like castle, chads, Hatfield were the ones he said did).
Also do trevs get to do anything in the castle hall, like I saw that theres some Hatfield formals in the castle I think- do trevs do anything like that? And I've been looking into Durham a lot and saw something about some colleges doing a college parent system- do Trevs do this too?

Hiya,
College experience differs for everyone so honestly I wouldn't focus too much on that, I have friends who have enjoyed being at their college and friends who did not (both in the same college). Having a good college experience really does depend on you and what you decide to do, what you put into college you get back essentially. The 'community' aspect is essentially the friends you make in college, not necessarily the college itself if that makes sense; college is essentially a place you live and a form of social hub that isn't your department. My advice is to get involved in societies, sports, etc that you're interested in within and outside college (but don't feel like you HAVE to if you don't want to) and don't be afraid to put yourself out there and test your comfort zone 🙂
In terms of using Castle, I don't believe Trevs holds any events in Castle college. Yes, there a college parent scheme at Trevs (there's one at every college and sometimes societies/sports do them)
