PGCE

I did my pgce physics interview at yesterday.
And they put me to the final stage of interview which is going to be subject discussion with physics teacher , they said l should not prepare any things on this.
I also ask if my previous interview went on well the said yes thus the reason l have been invited to the final stage.
Can any one advise me what l should expect on the subject discussion of the physic tutor at university of liecester?Thank you

Go to a library or bookshop and find a GCSE Physics textbook (or one you or a family member has), take a picture of the contents page. Google anything you don't remember. All they will be wanting to see is that you have knowledge of physics up to at least GCSE standard so that you could deliver lessons on that topic without having fully learn stuff yourself.

Thank you very much. What are my chances of getting an offer at this stage?

Quite good I would think as it's a shortage subject. as well as 04MR17's suggestion I'd download a GCSE and A level paper and have a go.

Also expect questions on SEN, safeguarding etc if you've not already had those.

If you have a pulse and no criminal record - you're in for Physics.

Sometimes they'll even relax the requirements of having a pulse

What is having a pulse?

If you are alive (as in if your heart is functioning)

Google it before you have to teach biology

It's a synonymous phrase with "being alive"

Hi O4MR17. I will be in England in a few months time for my Pgce in physics course. My school is at Leeds, but I have someone I can stay with in Birmingham. Do you think I will be able to attend my Pgce classes on time if I'm using public transportation from Birmingham to Leeds daily?

I don't think that would be a sensible commute, no. Better to find somewhere within Leeds I'd that is the base for your university.
