Mature students at University of Glasgow?

Hi everyone I am a mature student (47F) starting UOfG in September for my masters in international HR. A bit nervous since I've been out of school for a while and worried about keeping up with assignments and making friends. Are there any other UofG mature students on here? What's your experience been like?

Hi there,

Great to hear you're joining us here at UofG!

I would recommend looking at the Mature Students Association, which is a good way to meet other mature students, you can find information about them here. There is also a wide range of recreational and competitive sports clubs which I'd always recommend as a great way to meet new people, with many clubs having a number of mature students who attend their trainings etc.

In terms of academics you can check out some of the support and resources provided by Student Learning Development here.

The university has a really great community and there's always lots going on in and around the West End, so I have no doubt you'll get on absolutely fine!

All the best,
Elise, 2nd Year Student Rep
