I only realised I had to fill out this form for laptop reccomendations after I made a post, so i'll just copy and paste what i wrote there 😭

Hello, I've been looking for a 14 inch "everything" laptop - one that can handle pretty much all daily tasks + long battery life. My most important criteria is something future proof (that should hopefuly last the duration of my degree without too much tinkering) and something not heavy and hot. I honestly don't mind loud fans as long as the keys aren't scorching. I also can't stand Mac OS, so windows only. I do play some games now and then, so if it can run something like minecraft smoothly, I'm happy. I've been looking at 2 laptops in particular - the thinkpad T14s gen 4 with intel and the asus zenbook 14 with intel. I'm open to other reccomendations too. I'd appreciate reccomendations under budget but if it's worth the price then I don't mind going over budget either. Thanks.

So sorry for the delay. I would go with the thinkpad - good, sturdy option that will last a long time.
