Help for laptop and tablet,Media production student

I need help deciding on the best laptop for my media production course. As it is mostly practical I will need something powerful, I have looked into the specs but I also need something compatible with windows and android so Apple products are out of the question,My budget is around £1000 but that can be a little flexible,there are way too many options so I'm stuck trying to find the most convenient one that can run such software and is also portable (i.e. doesnt need to be plugged in the whole time),If anyone has any advice or such devices they can recommend I'd really appreciate it!
