dipeptides zwitterions?

i’ve just done the PMT predicted paper 2 and they’ve asked what 2 dipeptides could be formed between 2 lysines. i protonated one NH2 and deprotonated one COOH group for each dipeptide but the mark scheme has them as NH2 and COOH. anyone know which they do in the actual exam board mark scheme?

The likelihood is that an examiner would give you credit either way. You could draw a zwitterion or nonzwitterionic dipeptide, though I’d expect the zwitterion to be the main product in practice.
