Could I get into Cambridge med?

Hi,
gcses - 999998666A
(9s in math + sciences + rs + A in additional maths)

a-levels - A*A*A*
biology, chemistry, maths
(I'm currently independently studying & sitting the a levels and I'm on track to get all A*s - I am supposed to be in yr12, but I am taking them a year earlier which means that I will be applying with my actual grades)

I have lots of super/extra curriculars alongside with lots and lots of volunteering, wex etc. I have always been reflecting upon them which would make writing a PS efficient.
I am aiming/hoping to achieve a high ucat score.

I am extremely worried about applying to Cambridge due to my gcse grades though - should I apply? what are my chances of getting accepted?

Thank you in advance.

100% apply

Your GCSE grades are good enough, and will be considered in context of your secondary school. As you’ll be applying with achieved A-Level grades rather than predicted, your A-Level results will be considered/ weighted far more than your GCSEs.

As long as you have a strong UCAT score and personal statement I think you’ll make an excellent and competitive application. The interview stage is also pretty important, so make sure you do your research on that too.

I believe it’s 100% worthwhile applying  and you should be proud of all your hard work so far, I couldn’t imagine taking my A Levels a year earlier 😂

Hey, you should definitely apply, your GCSEs are good enough and your extracurriculars look great too!
As long as your UCAT goes well there’s no reason you shouldn’t apply!
It’s amazing that you’re sitting your alevels a year early too, hope they are going well
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions about applying!
