I have no idea, we have to pick which one we are doing by the end of the week
I'm probably gonna do help in the home, I was considering reducing waste (u could literally take any product and just make it more compact/ functional, that's what I was thinking at least) but I literally cant think of anything for supporting charities

i really wanted to do a motorsport based product but i have no idea how im gonna do that looking at the themes 🙏

i really hope my school doesnt make me pick by the end of the otherwise i'm so cooked omg, guess i have to wait until tomorrow 😭
help in the home is probably the best one but reducing waste is also okay tbh - but like what do they want us to do, make a bin or something? idk
i hate that they're all so vague though
what's your chosen material though because i think it also depends on that, like mine's timber which is pretty good tbh

that would be a really good idea ngl if only you could link it to the themes
i mean you could do the help in the home one and target it at a younger audience and make it so that the exterior looks like something motorsports-ish (idk if you can tell but i have no basic knowledge of motorsports) but there's added functionality like storage space or a light or something? idk im just grasping at straws here 😭

Could find a motorsport charity and do a nice collection box all sorts of avenues there

omg yeah fr
in my school we got the option to do resistant materials (timber) or graphics (papers and boards) and most people picked rm but a lot of people picked graphics because it's easier - idk if it actually is though
i mean tbh you can literally use any material for your final product as long as it's mostly your chosen material, like half my thing is probably going to be acrylic or something 😭

guys update on the motorsport theme- i came up with like a car that when you take off the roof its like a phone thing if that makes sense?? and then another idea was the top gear table which is an engine with a glass plate on the top basically, and then maybe like a key mount that is a car coming out of the wall 😭 idk if any of this makes sense but our teacher said come up with three ideas

those are pretty good woah, im assuming youre doing products to help in the home?
do you mean like a phone holder for the first idea? also the second one sounds really cool but would that mean you would have to make an engine or like

yess! as for the engine though i think like a v8 one would be pretty solid and easily modelled with maybe carboard? or a w16 bugatti veyron engine

to be realistic you wont be able to make these ideas in the ideas of the gcse. you only get 20 marks on the product and 80 of it is on the portfolio i made the same mistake and focused on a confusing product and got 82/100 with 12 marks being lost just from my product

go with something simple ish and have a really good portfolio
