Term dates 2026 - pre-reg nursing at Chester

Hi. Just wondering if anyone knows what dates pre-registration student nurses are off in 2026 please for University of Chester: Warrington? We’ve been given the lovely opportunity to go to Florida and we can’t confirm until we know when university holiday dates are. Can we take time off for holidays in term time if needed? Thanks

Nursing courses are intense so it is very unlikely that you will be able to take time out during term (plus many healthcare courses have placements that continue through standard uni holidays). Call/email the department at Chester and ask for a copy of this year's timetable to give you an idea of what will be expected of you.

Congratulations on your offer for University Centre Warrington!

You can see information on 2024/25 term dates here, however 2025/26 has not yet been finalised and it's worth noting that Nursing and Midwifery courses follow a different structure due to placements so you may not experience the same term/holiday dates as non-professional based courses. Nursing timetables are usually confirmed mid/late-August time.

UOC rep has given the link for this year's term dates as a guide but has also rightly pointed out that this is generic and doesn't quite line up for nursing/midwifery.
Nursing & midwifery students tend to start at the same time as other students, get a week less break for Christmas and Easter (2 weeks where everyone else gets 3), and are still on placement/theory blocks until late July (where everyone else finishes mid June)

Hi . Did you get your timetable yet?I am staring in sept 26 too and I have selection day soon. Would you mind sharing the timetable when holidays and placements are , also start time of the uni day xx
