Insurance choice for History

I've applied for a History BA for 2025 start and obviously the UCAS decline is only a few days away now.
I'm 100% set on firming York as it was everything I want out of Uni and felt right, but I'm really struggling over my insurance choice for a while now.
The 2 options are Cardiff and Royal Holloway, both with the same grade requirements so no difference there.
I like the location of Cardiff more as I know the city well and RHUL felt much quieter being campus-based and in a quieter area, but there are more module options at RHUL it seems, although some offered from other London Unis which would involve many train costs.
Is anyone studying History at either Cardiff or Royal Holloway and could give an insight into which one they'd recommend insuring?

Hi there,

I'm unfortunately not a history student, but I have friends who study history here and as a student, I might be able to give some insight! Everyone I know who takes history really enjoys it, the course is part of a brilliant School. Following your degree, the careers support here is very helpful as well. They offer mock interviews, CV checks, and the School of History itself does offer quite a few interactive careers workshops.

But of course, not everything about university is about the academics! Cardiff is a really student-friendly city, being one of the most affordable cities in the UK, and there is always a lot to do. If you had any specific questions about student life or living here, I would be more than happy to help
