Foundation year with gcse grades

I’m not sure but ChatGPT told me I can get a foundation year in universities with my gcse grades. Is it true? I searched on Google and they said the same thing.

I was planning to resit my a levels if I were to get a foundation year because I plan to study for my a levels alone if I could live in dorms or whatever it’s called. It’s just I need alone place to study.

If it’s true that I can do foundation year with just gcse grades then how do I apply for it? What do I mention in my personal statement?

Some specific 'International Foundation programs' are open to International applicants aged under 18, and these courses are NOT open to UK applicants. Most IFPs will actually require Level 3 qualifications. For all UK-entry Year 0 Foundation years, you will need Level 3 qualifications - A levels. IB, BTECs etc.

What on earth for. That would be like taking two full-time courses at once, and would be totally pointless.
