SFE Transfer Help- PG Loan

I originally applied for postgraduate funding in the 2023/24 academic year and received SFE during the first half of my studies at SOAS. In August 2024; I withdrawn and immediately transferred to the University of Westminster (who sent a transfer COC form upon my arrival) and began a new 2-year PT master’s course in September 2024, without receiving any SFE funding for Year 1 of this new course.

According to SFE’s guidance, I should be classed as a Cross-Academic Year Transfer. This would make me eligible to receive the remainder of my original PGL entitlement for Year 2 (2025/26).

Is it normal for my SFE portal to say “withdrawn” for the time being until I get my funding?

For more context I already applied and got an unconditional offer for my new course in spring 2024.

Hi there,

If the university had withdrawn you then yes, that's why it would show as a 'withdrawal' on your account. Is your application for the new course on the system or had you not applied yet for this? Thanks, Jason

A COC transfer form was sent from my new university so it should be.

Thanks. So we can check your account if you can call us on 0300 100 0031 we'll be able to check if we require anything from the university and how to get this rectified. Thanks, Jason
