Should I be eligible for student finance?

I moved to UK in October 2020 and haven't left the country since.
I applied for student finance this year for my course starting this September, but I have been rejected. I thought I would be classified as a home student and given a loan because I have stayed in the UK for 3 years before the start date of the course. Photo of email from SFE

Hi there, what status do you currently hold within the UK? Thanks, Stephen.

Hi Stephen, thank you for the reply.

My dad is on skilled worker visa and I am his dependant. We will be eligible for ILR next June.

Thanks for confirming. For to be eligible to receive home funding support, students who are from the rest of the world must meet the residency criteria below:

Have settled status in the UK (ILR, ILE, No Time Limit) or Settled Status awarded under the EU Settlement Scheme), this must have been granted before the first day of the first academic year of the course.

Have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands for the three years prior to the first day of the first day of the first academic year of the course, we will need you to provide Home Office status evidence for this period.

Be ordinarily resident in England on the first day of the first AY of their course

If you do not meet this criteria, you will need to wait until you do to be eligible for to apply for home student finance.
Thanks, Stephen.

Hi Stephen,

That should mean I am eligible right?

I have stayed in the UK without leaving since October 2020. So its been more than 4 years.

Why have I been rejected?
