Sixth form

I’m unsure what the max outgoing is I can wear for outfits to sixth form.
I love layering my skirts and jewellery and wearing a tie on my hip for example.
But if all of that wouldn’t be possible I’d atleast like to wear colours like green, deep red, pink and blue not only for the top but possibly blazer and skirt/trousers (I’m just unsure because all I’ve ever seen were black blazers and bottoms).
I’d also like to play with patterns a bit for example lines on my tights?
Does anyone know if this is ok? I felt it would have been silly to actually ask the sixth forms at interviews.

I’m looking at going to monoux, Leyton and Chobham.

I’m not in London so I’m unfamiliar with these sixth forms, but here’s what I’ve concluded through a little research…

Monoux: dress code is section 13 on page 4 of the student handbook (https://www.monoux.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/STUDENT-HANDBOOK-2024-25-Update.pdf), you’d definitely be able to wear colourful blazers & skirt/ trousers (photos of students on the website show this), not sure on the layering skirts etc. but you could determine whether that would be acceptable when there (if you choose this school)

Leyton: 3.2.6 dress code in positive behaviour policy (https://www.leyton.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Positive-Behaviour-Policy.pdf), similar to Monoux

Chobham: more strict than the other two because it is connected to a secondary school, see dress code section (https://www.chobhamacademy.org.uk/2013/dress-code)

In summary, Monoux & Leyton would allow colourful blazer & skirt/ trousers and potentially layering skirts & jewellery. Chobham would likely only allow colourful blazer & skirt/ trousers, if that.

Dress code strictness level (1 being most, 3 least):
1 - Chobham
2 - Monoux
3 - Leyton

Hope this helps

In my experience sixth forms don't have too strict dress codes, though I'm not going to a fancy one lmao so I wouldn't know for sure. I see people dressed how you describe in my sixth form and nobody questions it, so I think you'll be ok.
