Late submission Chichester University

Hi,
I recently submitted my assignment 5:minutes late for the second module of a creative writing masters at Chichester. My submission was 5:minutes before the deadline, but I thought I had sent the wrong bibliography, so resent the whole thing and missed the deadline by 5 mins.
Does anyone know if there is a short window where you can be late or what this late submission will mean for the mark?
Many thanks,
Sally

Hi Sally,

I know most unis have quite strict deadlines, but it’s definitely worth checking your course handbook or contacting your module leader/admin team directly. Some unis can allow a very short grace period for technical issues, while others might apply a small penalty for being even a few minutes late! Since it was only 5 minutes, and you submitted on time initially, they might take that into account, especially if you explain the situation clearly.

I think it depends on the lecturer in question too. Some can be a bit more lenient, whilst others are not so much! But the best thing to do is reach out and explain the situation regardless!

Hope you get it sorted 🙂
