Alevels at 19

I turn 19 this summer and in september I'm going to be doing my a levels. I used to be self concious a lot about it before but now I don't really feel embarrased about it but sometimes the self doubt just bothers me. It's just that I would be 21 when I finish so I feel like I'm wasting two good years of my life instead of being in uni. Also one big factor in all this is that I was homeschooled starting from Year 4 onwards so I already feel like I haven't acheived anything my whole life. I literally have no idea how classes in college would work and since I'm new to this country I don't know anyone 🥲 If anyone could kindly give some tips or advice on my troubles I would be really grateful.

It doesn't matter how long it takes you to achieve what you want to, there are plenty other people in a similar position to you. It shouldn't matter what others think, it is perfectly ok to take things at your own pace.

Agree with what flowersinmyhair said. I currently study aerospace engineering at uni. I'm in my first year and I know someone who started uni 3 years after having completed his A-Levels. He started the course at 21/22 and he's not the only one. No one cares. No one will judge the journey you took. After sixth form, nobody talks about A-levels. Everyone's too busy with uni exams, coursework, looking for jobs, work experience etc.

Do let us know what A-Levels you'll be studying so we can help you out and share resources with you! If you decide to embark on this journey than all the best!
