Manchester or York for law

Hi any advice knowledge offers for both York and Manchester not sure which to put first. Or which is best for law.

York usually ranks a few places higher on the Complete University Guide, although at this level of strong Russell Groups, this will be unimportant.
Both place well regarding trainees at Magic Circle and US firms, and across all metrics of graduate outcomes.
Thus, a logical decision would be better achieved through analysing course differences; York has a distinctive PBL teaching style, unique to most UK law schools, wherein legal theory is frequently applied to problem scenarios, within a smaller cohort, whilst Manchester, to my knowledge, will have larger class sizes, and use more frequent lecture based teaching methods, with more independent work over collaborative.
Whichever fits your learning style better, alongside soft factors including whether you would prefer a more quiet, historic and smaller city and campus( York), or a busier, more central and much larger campus and city( Manchester), should allow for an informed decision.

It's great that you're considering law at York.
I'd agree with the post below that York is distictive because of it's Problem Based Learning. Have you looked at the modules each course teaches? You may find the content on one course really inspires you and the other just isn't your thing. Lastly, why not chat with some of our current students to find out what living and studying at York is really like.
