school newspaper article suggestions

i'm writing an article for our school sixth form newspaper and i'm in need of ideas.
It can be based on anything at all, but i want to do a topic which is interesting and some what niche/ not a common point of discussion. My academic interests are in psychology, history, and law. although i am also keen on the idea of fashion, music, culture etc.

any suggestions (even not related to any of these topics whatsoever) would be very much appreciated !!

Rather than write what you want, what do you think those who will read this article want to read? Do the majority of students in your school want to read a niche topic that interests only you?

Hi,
Since it’s for a newspaper, I think it would be great to connect your interests to current or recent events. For example:

You could analyse the Met Gala outfits and explore how fashion brands/designers choose celebrity partners who align with their aesthetic, values, and target audience.

You could examine the loneliness epidemic and discuss psychological concepts that might help address it (e.g., Ryff’s six dimensions of psychological well-being).

I hope this helps—good luck with your article!
