Oxford brookes or anglia ruskin for adult nursing

Hy everyone. I am pretty much confused about which university adult nursing offer I must accept. The more I research the more confused I get. So I hope someone could help me. I need a better option.

Hi

You choose what university you are wanting to go to and study adult nursing at okay.

End of the day it doesn't matter which university you go to for your adult nursing degree because at the end of the your degree your future employer will be interested in you having a degree from a accredited course in which you'll have.
The most important thing for you is to qualify in three years time and get your NMC nursing registration pin 📌 📌 and begin working as a qualified adult nurse with whoever you choose to work with.

So do you want to go to Oxford Brookes then confirm that
Or if you prefer Anglia Ruskin university for your nursing degree then you choose that one.

Unfortunately I'm not or was not at either of those universities for my nursing degree.

I'm a NHS registered adult nurse ( in Scotland)

Hi @silly-archive,

Thank you for your message 😊

Adult Nursing is a great choice! 🚑 Choosing between university offers can feel really overwhelming, but please know you are not alone in this; many students feel the same way at this stage.

It can really help to think about what matters most to you:

Do you want a course with strong placement opportunities and hands-on learning?

Would you like to be close to home, or further away?

Would you prefer smaller class sizes and tailored support?

Do you prefer studying in a vibrant, bustling city or a quieter, smaller community?

At Oxford Brookes, for example, we combine immersive simulation-based learning with strong NHS placement partnerships, and we place a real emphasis on community care alongside hospital experience. But what's right for one person might not be the best fit for someone else - it’s all about what suits you best!

If there’s anything you’d like to know about the course, feel free to get in touch with our Admissions team at [email protected]. We can connect you with the Programme Lead, who can answer any course-specific questions you might have.

Alternatively, why not come along to one of our next Undergraduate Open Days on 20 and 21 June? It’s a great chance to explore the campus and get a feel for the place. Our Admissions, Accommodation, and Finance teams will also be on hand to answer any of your questions.

Wishing you all the best with your choice! 😊

What are the top things you're looking for in a university?

Best wishes,

Clare

Hey,

I'm a 2nd year adult nursing student at Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge campus).

I completely understand your confusion as I was in your shoes 2 years ago as Oxford Brookes and ARU were one of my 5 options and ultimately, I could not decide which one to pick as my firm choice.

What helped me decide was I took the opportunities on offer like attending the taster, open and applicant days to get a feel of what the unis were like and speak to the staff and the nursing student ambassadors to have a better feel. You may find that one uni has more broad opportunities on offers to the course e.g. opportunity to do a range of different placement settings or an elective placement abroad (which I am in the process of planning)🤗.

It is up to you and what your priority is whether that is the location especially if you plan on commuting back home often, the student societies on offer in the uni to enhance your student experience or what the city has to offer.

I'd be happy to go into more depth or answer any specific questions of what ARU has to offer on this unibuddy platform: Chat to our students or staff - ARU My name is Ayo and you can find me and other nursing students there too. There's also another section to speak to staff members if you would like to hear from them too.

Wish you the best of luck😄 @silly-archive
