Medicine at Aberdeen - need some encouragement

Hey! If there are any Aberdeen medical students out there who might be willing to tell me how it is I could really do with it. I've been very nervous about going since it was my only medicine offer and I live in the South of England. My only options are to just do it with the risk of not going back to med school if I end up dropping out or taking a gap year to make sure that this is what I want. I think I applied a bit too ambitiously and so hence only got an offer from Aberdeen. My worries are that it is a long way to travel to anywhere, there won't be a lot of student life and I won't fit it as many students are from Scotland etc. Please can someone give me either encouragement or advice either on Aberdeen or on reapplying (I am also open to studying in Europe).
