If I fail English lang gcse, can I still take 3 alevels?

I want to do maths, physics, and product design a levels but I’m scared of failing English language, will I still be able to take 3 if I do, or will they only let me do 1 or 2?

It depends on the individual college. Most would require you to resit the GCSE during Year 12.

If you fail English Language badly and make them question their confidence in your ability, then you might have issues studying your A Levels.

It's difficult to say because it depends very much on the individual college and the individual person assessing your admission.

All I can say is try to do your best in the exam. Even if you don't pass, trying your best to score the highest marks that you can will work in your favour than not trying at all.

It depends on the school you go to for A levels. I go to a secondary school for sixth form, and in my school, if you got good in the rest of your GCSEs, you can just retake beside your A levels. I know a few people in my year who retook English lang GCSE besides A levels, they got mostly 7s and 8s in their GCSES. I’d say if you get mostly 6s in the rest of your GCSEs you should be fine. but it does depend on the school! contact the head of sixth form and ask.

You will be required to retake GCSE Eng Lang if you don't get a grade 5.

My friend was in a similar situation with maths ,now we go to a sixth form in our secondary school, and she was allowed to study three alleles but she had to study and resit GCSE maths ,not the whole two years again more of a crash course with one of the maths teachers.
