Less ucas points

I’m applying for university in September and I feel like I underperformed in my exams do you think I can get into my course with 24 ucas points less? (112 requirement and I think I have 88)

Suggest you phone that Uni and ask them if its worth you applying.

As above, its worth chatting to the Uni to discuss if there is any other options.

Hi there,

It's really common to feel like you haven't performed as well as hoped in your exams so don't feel alone in this. It's great you're taking a sensible approach and thinking about your options.

I would suggest contacting the university directly and discussing it with the admissions team. They will frequently receive similar queries so will be able to provide you with an answer.

It could be worth having a look into clearing options. Hopefully you won't have to go down this route, but it's always wise to have a backup plan in place to ease the pressure of results day. You can start by making a shortlist from universities with courses similar to your current offers, but with slightly lower grade requirements. Maybe have another look at options that didn't quite make your top five UCAS choices earlier in the year.

There's a really helpful page that breaks down everything about Clearing which I'd recommend taking a look at.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!
Best wishes, ^Hannah 🙂
