Unsure of graduation. Help

I'm a final year student at Brighton University due to graduate in July. However I've messed up and need to resit 2 modules in the summer. Will I still be able to attend my summer graduation? I'm not too fussed about it. I don't really mind attending the winter graduation. But if I have a chance to graduate in the summer then why not. I will still be able to complete my resit and get my degree but I'm really not sure if I should but the tickets and everything. However I will get a refund if i don't so it's not a big deal. But if I can graduate I'd like to buy tickets and order my gown and everything. I've emailed my module leader and my personal tutor but haven't received a response yet and I'm running out of time. If anyone knows anything about this then please do let me know. Thank you 😊

I would recommend contacting your school (contact info found here) And they will be able to either give you the info or direct you to the person who knows.

Graduation eligibility usually depends on when your final results are confirmed. Generally, if your resits are completed and results are released after the deadline for the summer ceremony, you’d most likely be invited to graduate in the winter instead.

However, as you mentioned, if tickets are refundable, there’s no harm in booking them just in case! Since you’ve already contacted your module leader and personal tutor, it might also be worth reaching out to your Student Support Advisor or Academic Registry team for a quicker response.

I am a Brighton 3rd year student too, im pretty sure you cannot graduate this summer if you have failed the modules. When do they have to be re-submitted? Good luck
