Sorry, I'm not the best at the maths questions either and I don't know the answers to these questions :frown:
@DerDracologe or @Trickia can you help?

1st one slightly confused if I had the mark scheme I would probably get it
For the second one you use the original equation however do not combine the magnification equation with percentage uncertaincy. Also you haven't converted your units. So you have to be careful as it catches a lot of people out and a silly way to lose marks!
3rd one don't have the figure so I'm unsure about that
4th one haven't done stomata density but you have gotten your conversion from micrometer to millimeter wrong I think

hello:smile:
for the first one you will need to use the graph on the previous page (other than the diagram you have over here) and read where -7 volts is and it gives you a reading of around -1.95 MPa.
You will use the diagram you have over here and find -1.95 MPa to find the percentage increase which will be 15%. You then do 1.15*60 + 69 cm2. They said to calculate by how much did it increase so you do 69-60=9
i hope that helps, please feel free to ask for any clarification!
goodluck for tomorrow!:rave:

for the 3rd one - you will have to read off the graph for the stomatal density for CO2 concentration for 300 ppm and 365 ppm then subtract them which will give you 203-178=25.
They have asked to give it over a 10 year period, from 2000 to 1910 is 90 years so to get that to a 10 year period you divide it by 10 to give you 9.
Then you simply do 25/9= 2.7 recurring.
hope this helps

for the last one - you need to count all the stomata they gave you in the picture which gives you 32 then you divide by three because they have asked you for the mean stomatal density in the 3 fields. This gives you 10.67 recurring.
They given you the size of the boxes (250 micrometers) and they want it in mm2 so you convert by doing 250*10-3 =0.250 then will need to find the area by doing 0.250*0.250= 0.0625. So then all you will have to do is divide 10.67/0.0625=170.7 as they have asked for mean no. of stomata per mm2.
hope this helps!
