Hey @zizi_2!

Great question! Each core module of the BSc Biomedical Science course at Kingston University is worth thirty credits, with four core modules per year totalling 120 credits. This is the credit load for a full academic year, so there aren't any optional units in the course structure.

However, there are lots of extra-curricular activities to get involved in throughout the year if you want to expand your knowledge of biomedicine - for example, through Kingston's Biomedical Society, Scientific Journal Society or MeDeVet Society.

Hope this was helpful and if you have any more questions, let me know!

Good Morning!

I have a degree in Biological Sciences (Medical biology) from KU and I also shared modules with people taking Biomedical Science.

There are no optional modules for the Biomedical Biology degree - this it to meet the standards of the IBMS who accredits biomedical degrees - accreditation is extremely important for a biomedical scientist career.

If you would like to take optional modules, a degree in Biological Sciences would be more appropriate !

Kind regards, Jenifer (Kingston rep)
