Do universities only use your top 3 A levels for entry requirements?

Currently studying maths, physics and economics at sixth form but i am also doing A level business privately. This is because I struggle a lot with physics and I dont think i will get a particularly good grade for it. I feel like its going to ruin my chances of getting into a good uni. Im predicted B for maths and A for economics and D for physics ( i dont even think i will get a D) so for this reason i picked up A level business. Im doing quite well in a level business ( doing past papers and getting low As and high Bs ). I want to study finance at university of Birmingham which has the entry requirments AAA. Do unis take into account your fourth A level or do they only look at Top 3 A levels

They don't, just do 3 A levels and drop physics

It's highly unlikely. Some do make 4 A level offers, but these universities are in the minority and it's not that common. However, your uni could mandate specific grades in certain subjects. So even if they only look at 3, they could specify physics as part of their conditions.

I don't know, you just asked if they care about 4 or 3, I answered your question.

Most unis will make offers based on three A levels and will consider your top three grades on results day. Physics is unlikely to be a required subject for finance.
