I studied 5 subjects: economics, physics, art, math, further maths. Had to drop art during A2 when I decided not to go to art school 😅.
In terms of grades, I was predicted to get A* except for an A for economics.
My conditional offer was A*AA I think. And my actual grades were A* for everything except for economics 😅, so the prediction was spot on.
Turns out A-level economics was very different to uni economics, and at Cambridge micro and macro econ was very math heavy. So I actually did a lot better at uni compared to A-levels

regarding super-curriculars, how did you approach demonstrating interest in the subject. for example, did you focus in particular on any form of economic work experience, essay competitions or just reading economic books/articles in general.

Hi, what supercurriculars and extracurriculars and personal statement tips do you recommend for an offer from Cambridge.

Hi
I'm an incoming freshman pursuing Economics at Cambridge.
I wanted to know how hard the economics program is as well as what flexibility it provided in choosing our courses/professors.
Also is economics at Cambridge very theory based and does it involve a lot of reading?
