Pearson IGCSE Edexcel History Paper 2 Breeadth Study-Post Exam

I wasn't sure weather many other people took this exam since they may have taken the regional. Regardless please give your thoughts on the exams. I did the Changes in Medicine and the First World War sections of the paper so let everyone know what parts you did!

I did Changes in Medicine and Vietnam. I was really happy with medicine questions but for question C I knew I should've done the one with school medical service and public health act 1848 but I did the x-ray and second world war with my third one being first world war. I hope I did well on that. For question A I said 2 differences were that Florey and Chain Mass produced and the second that Florey and Chain were the first to use penicillin for medicinal reasons unlike Fleming. For part B I talked about Germ Theory and About John's Snows Broad Street Cholera Research, and For question C Like I said I did technology, First world War, Second world war.

Idk if anyone else did Vietnam, but for question A I did Johnson and I talked about operation rolling thunder and gulf of tonkin resolution. For question B I said similarity is that they agreed that the US was training South Vietnamese troops but they disagreed as Source A had no mention of north vietnamese guerilla attacks. For question C I agreed with the interpretation and for my own knowledge I talked about sects crisis, Law 10/59, Buddhist Monk Crisis, and Strategic Hamlets.

bruhh omg i did medicine and ww1 as well, for ww1 i had no idea what the ludendorff offence was but luckily it was sources, i also chose to talk about the schlieffen plan for the first question. for medicine, the first one about nhs was kinda tricky, the eight marker i feel like i answered okay, and the 16 marker i chose the ww2 and x-ray one, but i structured it sooo badly bc i was in such a rush so it ended up just being a brain blurt honestly. the wholeee paper was so rushed!!! wbyy??

I did medicine and Russia (non R), thought medicine was quite good although 16 markers difficult and Russia was mostly okay but it was hard to find anything in source b that disagreed with the interpretation

Yeah I agree I almost couldnt write a conclusion for my last 16 Marker and I chose the Provision of Public health question. And the eight marker for the WW1 section is literally free marks because you just have to analyse the two Sources. Ludendorff offensive was ok... just so long as you also mention the Brest Litvosk and the Americans joining the War etc, for the 16 marker that is.

interesting…. Did you do the r paper? I feel like your questions a and b are different to ours. we didn’t have to talk about florey and chain

for the 16 marker on public health my 3rd factor was the second public health of 1875. Linked it to the first public health and how the second was improved and less laissez-fajer attitude etc
