Anyone travelling further than 150 miles? Do they acc give u accommodation cuz they haven’t said anything in the form so I just booked a train straight there on the day

yeah they told me my request for accommodation on the sunday was granted and i should arrive between 5-7 on the sunday and i’ll just go to my room early basically like same room for the whole residential

how far away are you? I'm 180 miles away but they didnt give me extra accommodation. can anyone remember how far away you had to be for it?

Newnham college, I'm more than 200 miles away and they haven't mentioned anything about arriving the day before 😭

I have only mailed them asking whether they will reimburse taxi travel because if I have to take the train, the travel itself is around 5 hours with many transfers.

Oh I see. That would have been nice, but to be fair I’ve got good connection to Cambridge. The train journey’s only 3 hours and a half so I’m sure I’ll be fine. Just got to hope the train doesn’t get delayed or cancelled because if it does I’m stranded and screwed 😭🙏

I think we do mix together! It sounds like we have social activities in the evening at our college, and meals there too, of course, but everything else is stuff that we all come together in :smile:
