Do SFE give backpayments if my current year income ends up being less?

I'm filling in a CYI form but we do not know how much we will earn this year. Can I overestimate it? If I overestimate (e.g I estimated that my dad will earn £17,000 but he actually earns £14,000) will SFE backpay me for the amount lost, or do I just get left with the initial maintenance loan?

Yes, if you overestimate the figures then once the tax year ends we'll backdate any monies that the student was eligible for if we've underpaid them. Thanks, Jason
