Universities for Law Help

I am on UCAS Extra now trying to find SOMEWHERE to do Law. Unfortunately Nottingham is full but is a prestigious university. I was thinking about either applying to their Criminology course as its social science and transferring to their law course the year after as I cannot be at home another year due to family/personal issues and im also on a gap year right now. Or apply for 2026 entry next year and wait till clearing to see if there is any spaces to get into 2025 entry.

What shall i do, or I can either see if University of Leeds have any spaces but i dont think they have a reputable Law School.

Off the top of my head, you could apply to:

Warwick

Birmingham

Bristol

Manchester

Liverpool

Worcester

Durham

Edinburgh

KCL

Brighton

Never, ever, apply for a course you dont want to do in the hope that you can transfer to another subject.
Law at Nottingham is mega-competitive and you chances of a later transfer are essentially nil.

What are your A Level grades.

Hello @ninoiki

If you are keen to start a Law degree in the upcoming academic year, I would advise that you open up your options much more rather than restricting to just two universities. There are many good law schools out there with really good reputations. You should also see what each Law School offers. For instance, Leicester Law School has a legal advice clinic where we offer free, real-life legal advice to members of the local community. If you are looking to practice law, a university with opportunities such as legal advice clinics and various competitions will be very good choice when it comes to your future.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions or anything at all, please do let me know.
