Applying for maintenence loan at a later date

Hi, a few weeks ago I accepted an Industrial placement offer for my 3rd year. I am waiting for the company to get back to me with details and a contract, so I don't know what I will be getting paid, and I'm not sure if I want to apply for a maintenance loan or not. However, I'm aware that I'm already late in applying for student finance, and regardless, I'm certain I want to apply for a tuition fee loan.
Am I able to apply for a tuition fee loan and apply for a maintenance loan at a later date if I need it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
